RE/MAX Charities Raises Over $42,000 for Youth Sports • Atascadero News
Grants were given to 26 youth sports organizations in North County
TEMPLETON – RE / MAX Success held their first “Cheers to Charities” fundraiser on September 16 at the Cal Coast Brewery in Paso Robles. Last month, the new nonprofit 501 (c) (3) made grants to 26 local youth sports organizations.
The fundraiser featured live music and a silent auction with lots of food and drink. That event alone raised over $ 42,000.

Success Charities is committed to promoting and serving the needs of the community. At RE / MAX Success, a portion of every real estate transaction is donated by agents to Success Charities and matched by lead broker Elissa Williams. Her plan is to choose a different beneficiary each year before the fundraiser. This year, youth sport was selected as the first beneficiary.
RE / MAX Success agents and employees were able to distribute funds last month. Local youth sports organizations were encouraged to apply for a grant through Success Charities. All qualifying sports teams received part of the funds raised.
Thorndyke said, “It all came together as to why we do this. When they saw the appreciation and enthusiasm and excitement, they were very grateful for what we could give. “
He continued, “Handing out the money and checks to each of the organizations was definitely a highlight of the year.”
For the next year, Success Charities looks forward to hosting another fundraiser that will benefit a different cause within the community.
“We like to think we’ve started something great and look forward to continuing,” said Thorndyke.
