The Real Estate Convention Stages a Comeback
NRIA describes Triple Play as “a success”, says the participants appreciate the personal contact
SECAUCUS, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / December 21, 2021 / National Realty Investment Advisors (NRIA), a real estate investment firm and luxury property developer, says this year’s Triple Play Brokerage Show and Conference was a “success” for the NRIA team.
“It felt a bit like the kids could finally go out and play after being stuck inside for a long time,” said Ivel Turner, senior vice president of investor relations at Secaucus, New Jersey-based NRIA.
Held December 6-9 in Atlantic City, the Triple Play 2021 was something of a comeback for this event, which in a typical year draws thousands of real estate professionals from across the United States.
COVID stopped triple play and most trade conventions in the US and around the world last year.
And while health concerns about the coronavirus and its variants remain, the overwhelming mood of participants in this year’s Triple Play, according to NRIA’s Turner, was, “It’s great to be back.”
“You just can’t replace this type of face-to-face communication,” said Stephanie Cortese, senior rate exchange coordinator at NRIA. “There was good energy there that everyone could feel. It was about face-to-face human interaction.”
The triple play is an opportunity for real estate agents to speak to real people who are not behind a phone or computer screen and to explore the latest developments in real estate.
For NRIA’s Cortese and Turner, the triple play was their time to make valuable personal connections, they said. As she described the event, Turner spoke in admiration of the excitement surrounding Cortese as she met with the brokers approaching the NRIA table.
“Stephanie was a dynamo,” he said. “She was tireless. It was amazing to watch. You could see people’s eyes twinkling as they had that ‘lightbulb moment’ while she was describing NRIA’s opportunity to them.”
The story goes on
That option, Ivel explained, is the NRIA rate exchange, which enables real estate investors to defer capital gains tax on their investments.
By reinvesting their profits in NRIA, Turner said they are deferring capital gains taxes and getting additional profits on their new investment.
“You’re not refusing the government the money,” he said, “you’re putting it off.
During the three-day triple play convention, real estate agents from across the east coast showed their interest in NRIA’s strategy and were eager to learn more, Turner said.
Cortese explained that NRIA is pooling funds from many investors to build or buy and renovate real estate. NRIA then sells these properties at a profit for its investors. This is an ideal real estate investment opportunity for those who do not want the responsibility of direct ownership, Turner said.
“You get instant annual monthly income without the hassles and responsibilities of running a property or buying and building real estate,” he said. “NRIA does it for you.”
And how can all of this benefit the brokers who refer their clients to NRIA?
Turner stated that brokers are rewarded with an administration fee for every client who signs up with NRIA. A win-win-win situation for brokers, clients and NRIA.
“Congress is beautiful fertile ground for business,” said Turner. “Any broker is going to sell something that makes a capital gain. There they can say, ‘Hey, let me show you how to make money with the money you would pay in taxes.'”
All in all, according to Turner and Cortese, the Triple Play was a perfect place to market new real estate opportunities.
“After the COVID lockdown, the triple play had a good result this year for everyone involved,” said Cortese. “The energy was fantastic. It was non-stop.”
“We were all excited to be reconnected in person,” she added. “I’m already looking forward to next year.”
