Information on acquiring CASBEE certification for buildings

Frontier Real Estate Investment Corporation (the “Investment Company”) hereby announces that one of its properties, BRANCH Hakata Papillon Garden, will receive a “CASBEE Grade A Building (New Construction) Certification” from CASBEE Certification on December 24, 2021 has a board that is recognized by the Institute for Building Environment and Energy Saving. The investment company makes daily efforts to reduce environmental pollution and to promote coexistence and cooperation with local communities in accordance with the sustainability policy of the asset management company.

1. Overview of CASBEE certification for buildings

The Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency (“CASBEE”) is a system for the comprehensive assessment and classification of the environmental performance of buildings with regard to aspects such as the improvement of the environmental quality and performance including the room comfort and the maintenance of the landscape, the environmental aspect such as energy saving and use of materials and devices with a lower environmental impact.

CASBEE certification for buildings is issued for CASBEE assessment results for new buildings, existing buildings and renovations. The certification acquired by the investment company was issued for a result by CASBEE for new construction based on the assessment of the building design at the time of the new construction. The CASBEE evaluation results are given on a scale with the following five ranks: Rank S: Superior, Rank A: Very good, Rank B +: Good, Rank B-: Somewhat bad and Rank C: Bad.
