What’s Ahead for Real Estate Investors in 2022

The housing market statistics are almost all striking these days.

According to RedFin, the median home selling price rose 14% year over year to $358,460, near its all-time high, and new listings fell 10% year over year. Rental properties were no longer a bargain as the monthly cost of single-family home renters was 10% higher in November than a year earlier, according to Amherst Residential, a top nationwide property owner.

The eternal question: Can these trends continue, or will buyers’ regrets be a thing of the past? Lenders and builders alike are doing their best to bridge the yawning gap between the increasing demand from millennials and the available supply. But rising prices, bidding wars, and rising financing costs are making it difficult for buyers whose debt is already rising relative to their income.

Insider assembled a panel of experts to not only explain these issues and describe the paths they are taking over the next year. Join Insider on Friday, February 4th at 11:30am ET for the live event.
