Granite Real Estate Investment Trust : REIT Declares Distribution for January 2022 – Form 6-K
TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. January 2022–Granite Real Estate Investment Trust (“granite“) (TSX:GRT.UN / NYSE:GRP.U) announced today that its Board of Trustees has approved a distribution of $0.2583 per stapled unit for the month of January 2022. The distribution will be paid by Granite on Tuesday 15 February 2022 to holders of record of Stapled shares at the close of trading on Monday 31 January 2022. The Stapled shares will become ex-dividend as of the start of trading on Friday 28 January 2022 -Basically traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
Granite confirms that no portion of the distribution constitutes effectively related income for US federal tax purposes. A restricted notice detailing the sources of the distribution will be issued to the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation after the effective date of January 31, 2022 pursuant to United States Treasury Regulation Section 1.1446-4.
