Eastfield Mall, Cinemark settle suit over trashed theaters; mall marketing cinema space

SPRINGFIELD — The owners of Eastfield Mall have settled their lawsuit accusing Cinemark of trashing the cinemas — freeing management to market the theater space once again.

The state leased the theaters from owner Mountain Development for a year starting in March 2021 for use as courtroom space big enough to host socially distanced trials.
