Real estate investment firm growing portfolio – WISH-TV | Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) – An Indianapolis-based private real estate investment firm is expanding its presence. According to its own statements, i3 Investors has acquired an industrial building with six buildings and more in Cincinnati. Further acquisitions are planned over the next two years, which will more than double the portfolio.
The financial terms for the acquisition of i3 were not disclosed. With the acquisition, the company says its portfolio now includes 1.5 million square feet of space across the Midwest, occupied by more than 80 tenants.
“While many commercial property sectors are negatively impacted in these unprecedented times, our industrial portfolio continues to perform well,” said Matt Dickerson, co-founder of i3 Investors. “It is time to look for ways to expand our presence and further diversify our portfolio.”
Dickerson co-founded i3 Investors with Chip Barnes. Both partners recently left Chicago-based JLL, where they served as industry consultants, to focus on i3’s growth.
The company says part of its expansion plans include acquisitions in the southeastern part of the country.
“We are committed to empowering i3 investors so that our investors get consistent returns and our tenants receive unmatched service,” said Barnes. “By expanding into markets such as Charlotte, Tampa and Atlanta, we can identify additional opportunities in key industrial markets that enable our investors to geographically diversify into high-growth markets.”
