In honor of the Month of Women’s History, the Building Brilliance series features three women entrepreneurs who are leaders and pioneers in their industries.

These community women are Bobbie Crabtree, owner of USA Bridal; Dana Bowers, an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year winner of the year and founder of Venminder and iPay Technologies; and Janet Perkins, a real estate agent at ReMax Executive Group who leads the Janet team.

The Building Brilliance Series is a monthly workshop that began in November through a partnership between the Central Region Innovation and Commercialization Center, the Elizabethtown Community and the Technical College and Chamber of Commerce of Hardin County

Kendra Scott, vice president of operations for the chamber, said the series was an brainchild of Lisa Williams, director of the innovation center.

“The focus is on inspiring and training entrepreneurs by speaking to successful leaders in a variety of fields,” said Scott. “These experts share their time and expertise to provide tips, motivation, strategies and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone looking to grow their business or learn more about the business.”

According to Scott, some of the topics for discussion during this month’s seminar, scheduled for Wednesday lunchtime, may include challenges for women entrepreneurs, marketing, team building, support resources, leadership styles, market shift change and growth, and how COVID-19 affected their business .

“We encourage people to tune in because they are getting tips and advice from professionals who are experts in their field. This type of knowledge is valuable and cannot be found everywhere. Your trips are unique, fascinating and understandable, ”she said. “We want the participants to gain knowledge, inspiration and appreciation through this seminar.
