Are You Looking For An Investor Friendly Real Estate Agent? My Advice On How To Find One –

Have you tried finding an investor-friendly real estate agent who can help you find investment properties? I am a real estate agent and real estate investor and work with many money buyers and investors. To answer that question, I thought to myself; How did I start working with all of my current property investors? How did we originally come in contact and how did our relationships begin?

Look for agents who have distressed properties for sale

First, not google investor-friendly real estate agents as that term doesn’t really exist and unfortunately you won’t find what you’re looking for. I have never used this title and have never used this description and have never seen any other real estate agent working with many investors using this title so you probably won’t find anything. What you want to do is: Find and find real estate agents selling distressed properties. I always suggest choosing a target area for which you would like to get a property and take a look at the last 50 transactions. You want to find real estate agents who have consistently pre-listed foreclosures and real estate owned by the bank. Almost all real estate agents will run away from such deals, but these are perfect for investors. When you see an agent listing foreclosures and short sales on a regular basis, they are definitely investor friendly. That’s an agent you want to connect with!

Look for agents with recently renovated properties for sale

If you find an agent who sells almost exclusively recently renovated / brand new homes, add them to your watchlist. The reason they have these recently renovated homes is because they partner with investors and property developers because many real estate agents do deals with investors and property developers where they sell them distressed properties at a cheap price to get the listing as soon as they can they get Repeat the house and want to sell it. Most of the time, when you see an agent and they consistently keep this type of property, I assure you that is why. Also, I would recommend that this is the type of deal you want to negotiate with the real estate agent as they will then take you much more seriously. You want them to understand that if they help you find cheap distressed properties, they will get the listing and commission if it is sold at a higher price. You will get a lot more cooperation and interest from real estate agents to broker these types of deals with you.

Attend real estate meetings near you

My last tip is: You must absolutely and often go to real estate meetings in your area! I meet tons of people who want to invest and are seasoned investors every month. This is where you can find real estate agents looking for investors, as well as other investors who can help and advise you. You have to start networking and actually get into the real estate scene to get something done and make money. When you get out of there, it’s really very, very difficult, just relying on Google to make those connections for you instead of investing the time and effort trying to meet these people in person and build a real connection and interest . Relying only on Google makes it much harder to find agents who would even want to work with investors since most of them are just trying to sell houses and that’s it. Please get out and meet your local people. These events are geared towards investing and everyone is in this area and mindset necessary to work properly with you. On some evenings at these meetings, you will find 5-6 real estate agents who are already dealing with distressed properties and who are already experienced enough to work with you and find offers. This will drastically reduce your search time. In my opinion, this is the most important piece of advice I can give. You can also ask the investors who they are using for investors and that way make new connections.

Sum up:

This is my advice so that you can partner with real estate agents who want to help you invest and make money. I hope you implement all of these tips because by doing so you will quickly find agents to help you achieve your goals and drastically reduce the time wasted looking for agents.
