People moves: Varma appoints Ratia real estate investments director | News

Varma – Sampsa Ratia has been appointed director of real estate investments at Varma, Finland’s second largest mutual pension company, replacing Ilkka Tomperi, who announced in May that he was leaving for a new position at Finnish urban developer YIT. Ratia, who takes up his position at Varma on August 16, was previously for In front, Lease Green, Corbel and Aberdeen and other companies.
Trammell Crow Company – The commercial real estate development and investment company has commissioned Maite Inglis Operations Director of France and Benelux. She will support the company’s industrial logistics development and investment initiatives in France and Benelux, including all aspects of the development and investment process, economic analysis of land and asset acquisitions, capital structuring, market research, feasibility study, due diligence, leasing and disposal. Before joining TCC, Inglis was Operations Director for France and Benelux for lux P3 logistics park and held various management positions at Prologis France and Gazeley Properties.
Main real estate investors – Salika Khizer was appointed managing director of real estate marketing. Khizer will be responsible for working with the real estate portfolio management teams, as well as for sales and advisory relationships to raise capital for the company’s US and European private real estate, global real estate and infrastructure securities products. Before joining Principal, Salika worked at Walker & Dunlop investment partner as director of wealth creation. Before that, Salika was Vice President at the CIM Group. Prior to that, she was Managing Director at Institutional Real Estate where she focused on business development with pension funds, trusts, trusts, family offices, insurance companies, consultants and Taft-Hartley investors.
LaSalle Investment Management – Beverley Kilbride will lead the newly created European transaction and asset management unit of the global real estate investment manager. As part of the reforms, each team member will focus on specific services and local markets, with four transaction leaders reporting directly to Kilbride: Jérôme Hamelin, Andreas Wesner, Francesco Coviello and Robin James, each responsible for all acquisitions and sales in Western Continental Europe, Northern Continental Europe , southern continental Europe and CEE as well as Great Britain and Ireland. Jacques-Olivier Gourdon has also been named Associate General Manager for France and will join LaSalle’s French business management committee while maintaining his role in sourcing and executing transactions in France.
VIA sales outlets – The owner-operator of premium fashion outlet destinations in Europe has appointed Jaap Tonckens as advisor to the board. Tonckens has over 25 years of global experience in the real estate and finance industries, most recently 11 years Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, including more than eight years as Group CFO, where he was also a member of the executive board. Before joining Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Tonckens worked for Morgan Stanley in London and New York for over 14 years, most recently as Managing Director in the Leverage Finance team. Tonckens was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Dutch lifestyle and hotel company citizenM as a consultant.
Corporate energy – Nuta Chen has been appointed CFO based in Taiwan. David Houlton takes on the role of business consultant and economic modeler and Live soon as a financial advisor. Chen was the finance director at Maiora Renewable Energies and CFO at Ciel & Terre in Taiwan. She has worked for global financial institutions and multinational corporations including JP Morgan, Loyalty, PwC and Foxconn. Houlton has held positions at BNY Mellon, Deutsche Bank, DWS and Citibank. Previously, he held positions at companies such as Shell Business Operation and Ernst & Young.
