10U girls hockey team finish unbeaten in district | News, Sports, Jobs
FAIRMONT – The Fairmont 10U girls’ hockey team won two straight wins at the Martin County Arena March 13-14 to end their undefeated Fairmont district season.
Fairmont used the even goal and seven saves from netminder Nola Hazard to score a 4-2 victory over Dodge County on March 14.
Halyn Haycraft, Lauren Bettin, Alexis Haycraft and Kennedy Murphy each scored one goal for Fairmont, who scored 16 shots in the net.
Hazard made 10 saves to give Fairmont a 3-1 triumph over Marshall on March 13 at the Martin County Arena.
Alexis Haycraft, Mariel Parish and Lauren Bettin each scored one goal for Fairmont, who only scored seven shots in the net.
The Fairmont 10U girls’ hockey team (14-3) takes part in the New Prague tournament on Friday at 6 p.m. and lasts until Sunday.
Tyson Pankow scored two goals and two assists to lead the REMAX Bantam ‘B’ hockey team to an 8-1 win over Waseca at the Martin County Arena last Friday night.
Jace Prindle scored a hat trick for the Fairmont-based team, Luke Kester scored two goals and Connor Gronewald scored one goal. Eric Determan, Jace Teveldal and Barret Scholl each handed out a template.
Goalkeeper Ilana Moeller scored 17 saves for REMAX, which is traveling to Winona for a four-game tournament at the end of the season that starts at 11:15 on Saturday and ends on Sunday.
The Fairmont Squirt ‘B’ ice hockey team recently lost three games.
Windom won 2-1 against Fairmont in Windom on Saturday. Bennett Draper scored Fairmont’s only goal from an assist by Ryder Thate.
The Okoboji Blizzards drew a 9-3 win over Fairmont on March 14th.
Wesley Topitzhofer and Luther Malo each scored one goal and one assist for Fairmont, Hadyn Lillevold scored one while Ryder Thate added one assist.
Windom expressed a 5-4 decision on Fairmont in Fairmont on March 13th.
