33 graduate from CALI | News
The Conway Area Leadership Institute (CALI) recognized an outstanding leader and graduated 33 members of its 2020 class during a lunch on Thursday at the Reynolds Performance Hall.
Among the graduates was Crystal Geraldson of the Log Cabin Democrat, who said it was an honor to be part of the program.
Jason Culpepper received the Dan Nabholz Emerging Leader Award over lunch. Culpepper is serving as the regional mayor for Simmons Bank’s North Central Arkansas market.
The award is given to someone who has graduated from CALI in the past five years and has “demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the community,” said the CALI representatives.
Tara Mallett from First Community Bank also graduated from 2020 and said it was “an absolute treat.”
“I am so grateful for the knowledge we all received during this process, but most of all, I’m grateful for the friendships I made,” said Mallett. “It was an honor to be part of it.”
CALI is a program that prepares aspiring leaders to serve the Conway community through a curriculum inspired by Conway2025, a long-term strategic plan developed by the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce involving more than 1,400 residents.
Students will learn firsthand how leaders, businesses and organizations at Conway are making a difference every day while developing their own leadership skills and role in community success.
Jimmy Dolan, Conway Corp’s Carrier Relations & Account Development coordinator, was among the graduates on Thursday.
“In his role at Conway Corp, Jimmy is focused on the fiber and broadband needs of our business customers,” said Crystal Kemp, chief marketing officer of Conway Corp. “Jimmy’s completion of the CALI program shows his commitment to our mission to exceed customer expectations for service. We are proud of his work for Conway Corp and the community. “
