DALLAS (WBAP / KLIF News) – The national commercial real estate business continues to be led by Texas, particularly Austin and Dallas.

Commercial real estate services company CBRE has released the results of a new survey of investors across the country. Austin took first place this year with Dallas-Fort Worth in terms of investment prospects. Los Angeles was pushed out of first place by both cities in Texas last year and is now in third place.

As Dallas.CultureMap explains, a big reason for the results is the affordability and security of the marketplace. When publishing the results of the study, CBRE said, “The Sun Belt stores in Austin, Dallas, Phoenix and Atlanta were among the top performing metropolitan areas with the lowest number of job losses in 2020.”

CBRE continued to forecast that DFW and Austin “will see intense competition for high quality assets from all types of investors”.

It’s a significant development. For the first time in the history of the survey, major investors managing more than $ 50 billion in assets prefer smaller markets like Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth over mega-markets like LA and New York.

Ari Rastegar, founder and CEO of Austin-based Rastegar Property Co., which owns homes, offices and industrial properties in Dallas-Fort Worth, said, “While Austin has become one of the fastest growing technology centers in the world, Dallas has done so has long been the financial center of the state and the Sun Belt region, benefiting from the vast … educational facilities located throughout the subway. “
