CAs, lawyers most likely to invest in commercial realty: Survey
Accountants and lawyers are showing the greatest interest in investing in partial ownership of commercial real estate, according to a survey by MYRE Capital, a technology-enabled neo-real estate platform for fractional ownership.
About 30% of CAs / finance executives were interested in investing in commercial real estate, followed by lawyers at 21%, doctors (15%), IT professionals (13%), entrepreneurs (11%) and business owners (7%).
“These investors prefer fixed income options backed by a hard asset and have begun to appreciate the favorable risk-return profile of fractional commercial real estate and the end-to-end management of fractional ownership platforms,” MYRE Capital said in one Report entitled ‘MYRE NEO-Realty Survey’.
MYRE Capital conducted a nationwide survey that gathered responses from over 1,500 high profile investors.

According to the survey, 68% of interested investors in commercial real estate were in the age group of 36-60 years. About 15% of interested investors were 25-35 years old, the remaining 17% were over 60 years old.
Although investors 60 and over have traditionally been reluctant to invest in alternative investments, the trend is changing, MYRE Capital said.
In India, fractional ownership platforms make it possible for private investors to register with a minimum investment of. to participate in institutional rental properties ₹25 lakh.
“Fractional investment has been around in India for a long time, but in a disorganized way. Even today, investors limit themselves to residential real estate as the only investment option. The most common challenges such as large ticket sizes, operational tasks, lengthy and complicated documentation, lack of expertise and trust are resolved by our platform to make this a more inclusive and accessible asset class, “said Aryaman Vir, Founder and CEO of MYRE Capital.
Of the total number of people surveyed, around 41% were female investors.
The survey also showed that Bengaluru had the highest investor interest in partial ownership at 27%, followed by 21% in Punes real estate.
India was also seen as an emerging market for investment by the non-resident Indian (NRI) community, with nearly a third of respondents coming from countries such as the US, United Arab Emirates, UK, Denmark, Nigeria and Australia.
MYRE Capital was launched in January 2021 and has three Grade A properties with assets under management (AUM) of. aggregated ₹70 million euros.
