Clinton Guild hosts ‘Home Tweet Home’ birdhouse building contest in May | Hunterdon Review News

CLINTON – The Guild of Clinton will host its Home Tweet Home birdhouse building contest from noon to 4 pm on Sunday, May 15.

All are invited to build their own birdhouse and drop it off from noon to 4 pm on Friday, May 13, or Saturday, May 14, at the ReMax Supreme at 18 Main St. in Clinton. There is no fee for entering.

Homes will be judged and hung throughout Main Street for Clinton’s feathered friends to enjoy.

Need some guidance on construction? There will be a workshop at Hunterdon Art Museum for anyone who would like to attend from 1:30 to 3 pm on Saturday, May 7. Supplies are included, $15 for members, $20 for non members.

The submitted birdhouses must be no larger than 10 inches wide and 12 inches high or smaller, and must include a hook for hanging. The use of recycled, reclaimed or sustainable building materials are strongly encouraged.

Entrants are urged to decorate each birdhouse with family, working together, and being creative, to make it a house any bird would be proud to call home.

Prizes will be awarded in various categories.
