Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame: R&R Real Estate Advisors’ Paul Rupprecht

Every year, Midwest Real Estate News inducts a new class into the Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. Last year, despite its challenges, was no exception. Here’s a look at one of our new employees, Paul Rupprecht, President of R & R Real Estate Advisors in West Des Moines, Iowa.

With almost 30 years of experience, Paul Rupprecht is one of the most successful and respected commercial real estate professionals on the Des Moines market.

As President of West Des Moines-based R&R Real Estate Advisors, he also leads one of the busiest commercial real estate companies in the region.

What is Rupprecht’s secret of success? It’s simple: he believes in the value of hard work, provides great service to his customers, and keeps up to date with the trends and changes in his local market. This is an old-fashioned formula, but it worked for Rupprecht.

Rupprecht focuses on office, retail and storage space on the Des Moines market. While closing deals, he also oversees all brokerage deals at R&R Real Estate Advisors. This includes the marketing and leasing efforts for more than 7 million square meters of commercial space.

Here, too, Rupprecht juggles this responsibility by working hard and efficiently. No CRE broker has ever surpassed these industry veterans. That is why he has managed to steadily expand his career in commercial real estate over almost three decades.

What has Rupprecht occupied with commercial real estate for so long? Simple: it’s a job he loves.

“I enjoy putting deals together and seeing the tangible results when they’re closed,” he said.

This does not mean that there have been no challenges. Every CRE professional struggled with the hurdles to 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Rupprecht is no exception. The difference? He continued to work very hard to serve his customers. That helped him and R&R get through even the worst days of the pandemic.

“The great recession was certainly difficult,” said Rupprecht. “But the current pandemic and its unpredictability is absolutely our greatest current challenge. It is important to remember that, like all challenges, these challenges bring opportunities. “

However, Rupprecht is not just a successful entrepreneur. He is also connected to his community. He graduated from Iowa State University and has long been active in the state. He is a member of the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association, the Young Presidents Organization, and the United Way of Central Iowa.

When he’s not working, Rupprecht prefers to spend time with his family on the golf course.
