Foreign investors looking into more real estate investment opportunities in Cambodia says experts

Lor Vichet, President of the Global Real Estate Association, claimed that foreign investors are looking for more investment opportunities in Cambodia after the reopening of the socio-economic environment.

At a meeting of about 200 foreign and Cambodian investors at the Cambodia-China Business Association (CCCA), Vichet that this is the time of good opportunities for real estate due to the continued influx of Chinese, Hong Kong and other investors into the Cambodian market , which will be able to activate and revive the flow of trade in this sector.

Ben Li, Honorary President and Founding Director of Urban Village & Factory Phnom Penh, said that Cambodia still has good market opportunities for real estate investment and the interest of Chinese and Hong Kong investors in this sector is still high.

The Vice President of the CCCA Dr Choi stressed that Chinese investors in Hong Kong may return to invest in real estate and construction in the Cambodian market by attracting investors who are existing partners in the association and new partners.

According to the forecast from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the growth rate of the real estate sector in Cambodia is projected to recover at 2.4 percent in 2021 and will reach 4.8 percent in 2022, while domestic investment and demand remain strong and a gradual increase in foreign investment flows in.
