Groundbreaking wireless sensor technology will completely disrupt commercial real estate and smart buildings
as small as a stamp (19x19x2.5 mm), weighs only 2 grams, is wireless and sticks to almost everything with its self-adhesive back.
This sensor is ideal for monitoring water pipes (ensuring Legionella conformity and water safety).
Monitoring of electric motors and pumps (detection of more errors thanks to more data points)
Cold storage (monitoring of food, beverages and medicines in restaurants, retail stores, hospitals and pharmacies)
Desk occupancy (more precise detection of usage peaks)
Norwegian Tech Company, Disruptive Technologies, unveils a new wireless sensor at CES 2021
We have a track record of providing pioneering solutions that noticeably improve the efficiency and sustainability of workplaces, buildings and cold rooms. “
– Bengt Johannes Lundberg
OSLO, NORWAY, NORWAY, Jan 11, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Innovative Norwegian technology company Disruptive Technologies (DT), maker of the world’s smallest commercial wireless sensors, announced that it will introduce its second generation temperature sensor and logger, a Upgrade of the already ultra-modern temperature sensor of the first generation at CES 2021.
The new temperature sensor, which will be available in stores in June, sets a new standard for energy-efficient and sustainable temperature measurements at DT. Thanks to its logging functions, the sensor can provide more than 15 million data points, a 30-fold increase over the temperature sensor of the previous generation, with the same battery life of 15 years.
This sensor is ideal for monitoring water pipes (ensuring Legionella conformity and water safety), monitoring electric motors and pumps (detecting more errors thanks to more data points), cold storage (monitoring food, beverages and medicines in restaurants, retail stores, hospitals, and pharmacies) and desk occupancy (which makes the detection of usage peaks more accurate).
Thanks to the complete overview of the temperature of these systems, energy consumption can be optimized quickly and buildings can be made more efficient and sustainable.
“We are very excited to release the latest version of our temperature sensor at CES 2021,” said Bengt Lundberg, CEO of Disruptive Technologies. “We have a track record of providing groundbreaking solutions that noticeably improve the efficiency and sustainability of workplaces and buildings, and cold storage. We pride ourselves on being among the first to show what to expect from the latest advances in IoT sensors. “
The new type of temperature sensor of the second generation is as small as a stamp (19 x 19 x 2.5 mm), weighs only 2 grams, is wireless and sticks to almost everything with its self-adhesive back. The wireless sensor offers superior performance, ease of use, features and battery life in the smallest possible size on the market today.
The new temperature sensor has three different software-configurable modes:
1. Sampling – The sensor measures the temperature and transmits the value to the cloud at a specified interval.
2. Logging – The sensor measures the temperature at a user-configurable interval of up to 30 seconds, stores the data on the device and transmits a collection of data points to the cloud at a specified interval.
3. Triggering – The sensor only sends a message when the temperature value has exceeded or fallen below a user-configurable temperature limit.
Temperature sensors on the market are often bulky, complex to install, expensive, and inaccurate. The second generation temperature sensor offers superior performance, ease of use, features and battery life in the smallest possible size. No sensor is comparable to the value-per-insight that this DT sensor offers customers and the IoT market.
