Laura Jane Leonard, 76, of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Saturday after a long illness. She was born in Altoona to the late Earl Rodgers and Alice (Eckard) Rodgers. She married Ronald Leonard and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sisters: Ramona Paden, Tina Grimme (Matt Sr.) and Lynda Long (Steve), all from Altoona; two brothers, Ron Champeno (Holly) of Altoona and M. Eric Rodgers (Darlene) of Littleton, Colorado; nine nieces, eight nephews; a great aunt; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary; and a nephew, buddy.

Laura was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School. She was with Saf-T-Bak for many years and was also a cashier at the Penn Alto convenience store.

She loved reading romance novels, watching action movies, crime series and ReMax Tour of Homes.

Friends will be welcomed at the Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where Pastor Richard of the UPMC Hospice will conduct a funeral service.

Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery.
