Lee Leonard Memorial Golf Tourney scheduled for May 22; entry deadline May 17
May 17 – The third annual Lee Leonard Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 22nd at Webb Hill Country Club, near Wolfe City.
The two-player scramble is an 18-hole event with an entry fee of $ 300 per team. The rental for the shopping cart is also $ 20 per team. Two mulligans are available for $ 20 per player, and additional shots at the par-3 players are $ 5 each.
The pre-flight is based on disabilities.
There are several sponsorships available.
The $ 3,000 Roaring Lion includes a large banner in the square, an ad in the Lions 2021 Football Program thanking the donor for their support, and entry for two teams and two rental cars.
The Lion sponsorship is $ 2,000 and includes a large banner and tee sign, plus entry to a team and car rental.
The Silver sponsorship costs $ 1,000 and includes four tee signs, entry for a team, and car rental.
The bronze sponsorship costs $ 500 and includes four tee signs.
Donors can also sponsor a hole for $ 100.
Other donations are welcome. The tournament will benefit the Greenville Lions and Lady Lions high school golf teams.
The closing date for entries is May 17th. Submissions can be made at Greenville High School, Goss Chiropractic, and REMAX 3D Real Estate.
The tournament is named after Lee Leonard, a teacher / trainer for nearly 40 years in Greenville, Commerce, Caddo Mills, and Eunice, New Mexico. Leonard also played basketball in New Mexico State on two Aggie teams that played 23-6 and 24-5 in the 1967-68 and 1968-69 seasons. Leonard died in 2013.
