Re/Max Malta tops pre-pandemic targets

Re / Max Malta has continued its track record as the island’s best real estate brand through restructuring, retraining and regrouping with a renewed focus on quality.

The real estate giant has even exceeded its own goals. Having met its targets for 2019 in late 2020, Re / Max Malta has already exceeded its planned targets for January and February, beating the numbers for the same two months in 2020 – before the pandemic.

“This incredible achievement proves once again that Re / Max Malta continues to lead the local real estate industry despite such adversity,” said Jeffrey Buttigieg, CEO of Re / Max Malta. “As the global real estate market grapples with the challenges of the Covid-19 crisis, we’ve focused on improving quality versus quantity in everything we do – and the results speak for themselves.”

When the first cases of Covid-19 were announced on site last year, Re / Max Malta faced the challenges and took the opportunity to restructure, improve and innovate all services, technologies and training programs. The brand was the first local agency to introduce virtual tours and train agents to offer video tours of properties while expanding and updating their already market-leading property database.

Re / Max Malta reiterated its commitment to excellent customer service and refined its new agent recruiting process in the final half of 2020 by running highly specialized recruiting events online on a regular basis.

The training has since been realigned and the existing Re / Max agents benefited from an intensive daily virtual training program over nine weeks. Previously, exclusive 60-minute virtual sessions with international business leaders were also made available to the public to allow local entrepreneurs in each industry to improve their skills during the crisis.

The productivity of the agents to improve the customer experience was also increased by the international Go4More campaign. The campaign was launched by Re / Max Europe in 25 countries in September 2020 and supported agents through expert webinars and tutorials to help them add four additional activities per week to their schedule. In just four months, the campaign increased local agent productivity by an impressive 25%. The top performers from each office were each rewarded with a weekend break for two people at the Hilton Malta.

“We are proud of all of our franchisees, managers and team members who have overcome these difficult times through their consistent hard work, determination and resilience,” concludes Buttigieg. “Re / Max Malta is the best brand in the business because our agents are. We will continue to improve and innovate to ensure they have the latest tools and resources and maintain our position as Malta’s best real estate brand. “
