Real estate CEO, wife sell Palm Beach house in Palm Beach
A 1928 renovated home in Midtown Palm Beach sold for $ 9.395 million, the price documented on the charter.
John G. and Hinda M. Snyder sold the house they had owned since 2008 at 130 Cocoanut Row. On the buying side, attorney Paul A. Krasker acted as trustee of a revocable trust named after the address of the property .
The Snyders paid $ 5.435 million for the property, court records show. The modified Monterey-style house stands on about a third of an acre lot on the corner of Via Sunny, a street lined with sea blocks near Barton Avenue.
The home has 7,106 square feet of living space, both inside and out. There is also a two car garage with a guest apartment on the second floor, bringing the number of bedrooms on the property to six.

John Snyder signed the deed for himself and on behalf of his wife as her “attorney indeed”. He is the managing partner and CEO of The Simon Cos., Which is based outside of Boston and owns and manages commercial and multi-family real estate across New England, according to the company’s website. Snyder oversees investments, financial and legal issues, as well as real estate management, development and acquisitions.
John Snyder had the property inhabited on Palm Beach County’s latest tax records, records show.
The house was designed by Volk & Maass, the architectural office of the deceased partners and well-known social architects John L. Volk and Gustav Maass.
Interior features include a living room with a fireplace and Venetian plaster walls. An enclosed loggia leads to the kitchen and overlooks the saltwater pool and outdoor entertainment areas, which include a covered terrace.
The listing also mentioned a graceful staircase, one of Volk’s architectural signatures.
Broker Christian Angle from Christian Angle Real Estate had the listing. He began marketing the property for just under $ 11 million in late August. She was under contract in early December, according to records from the local multi-listing service.
Compass Florida agent Elizabeth DeWoody handled the buy side of the sale.
Due to rules governing trusts, no further information about the buyer was immediately available in public records. The deed was recorded by the district clerk’s office on January 6th.
Angle and DeWoody declined to comment and the Snyders could not be reached.
