FAIRFIELD – Michelle Perez attributes much of her real estate success since 2001 in the Fairfield area and Northern Solano Counties to three families – her own family, her professional family, and her religious family.
Perez’s husband, John Perez, works by her side with her real estate endeavors while both of them find meaning in their lives from their family.
John and Michelle Perez were high school lovers growing up in San Francisco. She had a 14-year career with a San Francisco law firm and a brief career as a recruiter for an accounting firm before she and John took over the shares and moved to Fairfield while pregnant with their third child.
Michelle Perez said one of the biggest factors that helped her become successful was her belief. She is the Eucharistic Pastor for house-bound and sick parishioners of the Holy Spirit Church and is the Eucharistic Pastor at services. She has also served as a youth minister in the Holy Spirit Church.
Perez’s good deeds are beyond her belief. She is a founding member of Soroptimist International of Central Solano County, which seeks to empower women and girls by providing service and support to local organizations including SafeQuest Solano, Child Haven, and The Nurturing Project.
Perez credits the Re / Max team and their support as key to their success. In difficult professional times, she draws on the training of the Re / Max University, which is available to her to obtain titles and certifications. She also takes advantage of the Women’s Council of Realtors leadership conferences to help her stay relevant in today’s technology, customer relationship and process market.
She describes the Northern Solano County’s Association of Realtors as “a great source of local community awareness.”
Perez’s habits of success include maintaining customer relationships, being loyal to customer care, as well as communication and persistence. Excellent communication with clients, listening, patience, advice, problem solving, and negotiation are also some of the crucial skills that have made her success.
