Realtors support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is par for the course – Macomb Daily

Golfing outings are not only good for company morale but a great way to raise money for a charity as shown by the staff at three RE/MAX offices in southeast Michigan whose fun on the greens raised $68,300 to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The funds raised will benefit the RE/MAX Communication Preschool Program, part of Beaumont Children’s.

“We are so proud of our RE/MAX brokers and agents who continually step up to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®,” said Pam Bellante, marketing director, RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan of the participating offices, including RE/MAX Eclipse of Sterling Heights, RE/MAX Metropolitan of Shelby Township and RE/MAX Nexus of Birmingham. “The funds raised will ensure local children with speech and language impairments continue receiving the treatment and services they urgently need.”

The program is believed to be Michigan’s first hospital-based preschool program for children with speech and language difficulties.

Since the program’s inception in 1992, agents and brokers from RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan have contributed nearly $1.6 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to fund the RE/MAX Communication Preschool Program.

The program is designed for children ages 3 to 6 with speech or language impairments. Scholarships are available for qualified students.

Spearheading the charity golf outings for each office supporting the program were RE/MAX ambassadors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals including Jessica Belanger of RE/MAX Eclipse, Helga Roles of RE/MAX Metropolitan and Linda Wells of RE/MAX Nexus.

The charity event has and the company’s support of the important program for kids has become a tradition that has grown. In fact, in the coming year and with the continued support of these golf events and agent donations, RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan expects to raise $150,000 to support the RE/MAX Communication Preschool Program this year.

“We are honored by and grateful to REMAX for its tremendous, longstanding support,” said Charlotte Alex, director Children’s Miracle Network, Beaumont Children’s. “Without the generosity of our amazing corporate partners we would not be able to do all that we do for our patients and the community.”
