RISMedia Recognized by National Association of Real Estate Editors — RISMedia |
RISMedia was recently recognized by the National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) during their 70th annual journalism competition.
RISMedia was awarded the following prizes:
Bronze Award – Best Blog
“4 Easy Staging Tips You Haven’t Thought About” in RISMedias Housecall
Comment of the judges: In “4 Easy Staging Tips You Haven’t Thought About”, Dominguez gives good tips in bold – and then fills them in with details from their coverage. For example, she urges people to put themselves in the buyer’s shoes and use their noses. Any smell? Light some candles and open the windows to let the air go home for an hour or two. Too much trash, treasures? Rent a storage unit. This is an important reader service.
Honorable Mention – Best Newsletter, Real Estate
Daily e-news from RISMedia
Comment of the judges: In its daily summary, RISMedia makes a point on whether personality ratings are a real measure of agent success. The newsletter mainly contains links to the top stories and industry news from RISMedia. However, this makes sense for readers who want to look for highlights. How can you best use social media without spending money? (Among other things, use hashtags and promote local activities on Twitter.) The newsletter is no frills, but it does provide helpful news for its readers to use.
According to NAREE, the Journalism Awards recognize outstanding achievements in reporting, writing and editing stories about residential and commercial real estate.
