Ryan Krauch Joins Senior Management Team of USAA Real Estate | Texas News
SAN ANTONIO, May 10, 2021 / PRNewswire / – USAA Real Estate has announced this Ryan Krauch, most recently Principal at Morgan Stanley’s Mesa West Capital, will join USAA Real Estate’s Senior Leadership Team as Executive Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee with immediate effect.

During his career, Mr. Krauch has been excellant at managing capital and growing businesses in the real estate investment management industry. Most recently, he was one of the original employers at Mesa West Capital – a company that pioneered commercial real estate loan funds. He has served in all areas of the company’s business including serving on the investment committee, valuation committee, and management committee, raised billions of dollars from global institutional capital sources, and led key strategic and operational initiatives including the formation of an innovative fund of vehicles and separate accounts . In 2018, Mesa West was acquired by Morgan Stanley to become the exclusive real estate loan platform for Morgan Stanley Investment Management in The United States.
Prior to joining Mesa West in 2007, Mr. Krauch led the joint venture equity acquisition platform for Somera Capital Management, a value added real estate equity fund manager. In addition to his primary roles in the acquisition of office, industrial, retail, hotel, multi-family and specialty properties, he was the architect in transforming the company from a single office on the west coast to a nationally focused multi-office fund manager.
Mr. Krauch is chairman of the board of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) and board member of the contribution-oriented real estate council (DCREC). A graduate of Dartmouth CollegeMr. Krauch is actively involved in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
