Tax on your gold and real estate investments
Real estate and gold traditionally form a large part of the portfolios of Indian investors. In recent years, however, real estate returns have ranged from bad to negative. On the other hand, gold does not offer an attractive return in the long term and has high transaction costs. Apart from the fact that gold or real estate is kept for your own use, investing in these two asset classes makes little financial sense.
