Three St Andrew’s owls released

In the early hours of June 30th, the three barn owls from St. Andrew’s School for Girls were released from their enclosure.

As soon as it got light, one owl after another flew out.

They have been fed every day in their stable at school for a little over three weeks.

Feeding continues after discharge as it mimics natural parental care.

These owls can now improve their flying and hunting skills.

The school staff and students have been delighted to see the owls every day since they arrived.

The school thanked EcoSolutions for the opportunity to house and release the owls.

Everyone at the school is hoping that the owls will stay nearby or nest in one of the owl houses on the property so they can be spotted regularly.
