Rodrigo Seabra was once again in strong performance on the 3rd race of the OK Junior – ADAC Kart Masters, on the weekend of July 2nd and 3rd, in Oschersleben, Germany.
The Portuguese driver, who carries the portuguese flag colors, showned his excellent performance in OK Junior, considered the most difficult and professional karting category in Europe.
The adaptation to the track was quick, which he was completely unknown, and on the Friday free practice the driver was always among the first top 3. On Saturday, Rodrigo took second place in qualifying, just 0.084s from Pole Position, but a penalty dropped to fifth position, consequence for having crossed the white line at the exit of Parc Fermé.
Under very difficult weather conditions that were felt all weekend, with very high temperatures, Rodrigo Seabra finished both race heats in P2 and P5, and took a P4 starting place for the first race on Sunday.
In Final 1, the Portuguese driver achieved a brilliant P3. In the final 2, Rodrigo finished the race in P4, despite having a P2 until the last 3 laps. The Portuguese pilot thus climbed to the podium in a more than deserved P3, where he did not forget to carry his Portuguese flag with him.
Rodrigo is in 4th place in the overall ADAC standings, being the best Rookie in the championship – “This weekend was very intense… the track was very fast and this category is physically much more demanding. I’m tired, but very proud of my result, too bad I didn’t make the pole position… it was possible! I was always very focused, and my team did an incredible job with my Set up, as well as Bas Lammers who was a great help outside track!” – said the young driver.
At 11 years old, Rodrigo is the youngest in the field and stands out again for all his hard work and talent. Remember that last week, Remax, the biggest real estate company in Portugal, announced a sponsorship deal with young driver Rodrigo Seabra. The sponsor contract is for 10 years and can help the Portuguese prodigy driver to reach higher levels in the motorsport aims until his 21st birthday.
The goal is to reach the pinnacle of motorsport. It should be highlighted that this is a non-exclusive agreement that allows other companies to aid on the talent of the young driver.
Next race will be the OK Junior – DKM Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft, from July 15th to 17th, in Ampfing, Germany, where Rodrigo leads the rookie championship and is in 6th place overall.
