10U girls hockey coasts to 11-1 rout | News, Sports, Jobs
FAIRMONT – The 10U girls’ hockey team from Fairmont Cardinal scored an 11-1 triumph over New Ulm / Sleepy Eye in the Martin County Arena last Saturday.
Kylie Flanagan scored the game’s best hat trick, handing out an assist to top Fairmont’s winners.
Lauren Bettin and Maya Earhart each scored two goals for the Cardinals’ high-octane performance, while teammates Kennedy Murphy, Taylor Truesdell, Halyn Haycraft and Kynlee Beemer scored one goal each. Bettin also added a helper.
Goalkeeper Nola Hazard claimed victory between the pipes by making three saves for Fairmont, who scored 23 shots on goal.
The Fairmont 10U girls’ hockey team (8-3) will welcome Worthington at 11am on Saturday at the Martin County Arena in Fairmont. The Cardinals headed to Marshall for a game at 12:30 pm on Sunday.
The REMAX bantam hockey team made a separate decision during the ice campaign last weekend.
Jace Teveldal broke out for the game’s best four goals to lead the Fairmont-based lineup to a 5-1 win over Marshall on Sunday in Marshall.
Jace Prindle contributed a goal, Tyson Pankow handed out two assists, while Mathew Cone handed out a helper in REMAX’s victory.
Fairmont goalkeeper Isaiah Lockwood made 21 saves and took the win.
Windom scored a 4-1 win over REMAX in Windom last Saturday.
Barret Scholl was Fairmont’s only goal after an assist from Cone.
Iliana Moeller made 28 saves for REMAX, which featured Marshall at the Martin County Arena in Fairmont on Sunday at 4pm.
Ryder Thate delivered a hat trick last Saturday to help the Fairmont Squirts get a 3-all draw against New Ulm / Sleepy Eye.
Kane Wohlhuter provided a template for Thate’s second goal.
The Fairmont Squirts will host Worthington on Saturday at 3:30 PM at the Martin County Arena in Fairmont before traveling to Marshall for games on Sunday at 11 AM and 2:30 PM
