CCC Garage Sale set for April 17 | News
Spring is in the air and nothing says “spring” like a flea market. The Community Care Club, a nonprofit on the south side of Richland Chambers Lake, has planned a dozen for fans of this fun shopping experience, which will take place on Saturday, April 17th, from 8am to 1pm. The CCC Super-Sized Flea Market will be held at the Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Department.
Buyers can find furniture, lawn and garden items, household items, fishing equipment, children’s items, tools, sports equipment, interior and exterior decor, collectibles and much more. Items are marked for quick sale. A collection of special items will be auctioned during the “Awesome Auction” part of the event from 11am to 12pm. All items are offered at half price from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., shortly before the end of sales. A “Free Stuff Corner” offers certain different items that are usable but not sellable.
All proceeds from this oversized flea market go to the various charitable activities of the Community Care Club, a non-profit organization that helps the local FM 416 community through a variety of projects.
Save the date Saturday April 17th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SOVFD fire station and plan to shop to your heart’s content! Why not make it a day and bring some friends with you? Do your shopping in the morning and then have lunch at one of the three locations along FM 416: burgers and the like at Spanky’s, Cannon’s BBQ, dinner at The Lighthouse at Fisherman’s Point and on that day only the ReMax Realty Teel team hosts one Opening house with a free lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
For reasons of COVID precautionary measures, volunteers wear masks at the big sale. Customers are encouraged to wear their masks. The fire station where the sale will take place is located approximately four miles west of intersection 488/416 or twelve miles east of Streetman on FM 416.
