BENNINGTON – The brick building at 310 Main Street that houses Citizens Bank and two other offices has been sold.

According to the town clerk’s list of deed transfers, 310 Main, LLC, controlled by Paul W. Carroccio of TPW Real Estate, purchased the structure on June 29 for $ 810,000 from John and Sylvia Carpenter.

In addition to housing the bank offices, the Bennington County Public Defender’s Office and the University of Vermont Extension can also be found there.

When asked if any changes were planned, Carroccio said in an email this week: “It will stay that way. Same tenants. We bought it to add to our Vermont commercial property portfolio and it’s a great property with good value for money, especially with the Putnam project going on and other great downtown properties undergoing redevelopment and / or renovation! ”

TPW Real Estate is also the lessor of the three historic buildings being redeveloped across Main Street on the Putnam Block redevelopment lot.

Recent mortgages list the property as 310-320, but the city will list it as 310 Main Street in the future. “
