We Feed St. Augustine seeks donations to help local families in need
We Feed St. Augustine, in partnership with Grace United Methodist Church, is hosting from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on December 14th at Grace United Methodist Church, 8 Carrera St., in downtown St. Augustine.
The non-profit We Feed St. Augustine sponsored a number of other non-profit events during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Under the leadership of local chef Tyrone Bennett, local businesses have jointly banned the delivery of hot meals, supplies and other items to families in need. Local businesses like Island Doctors, Remax, Humana Health, and Hennessy Events, along with restaurants, chefs, and other local St. Augustine donors, have reached out to help.
At the group’s most recent pre-Thanksgiving event, more than 50,000 pounds of food were handed out, including turkey, prepared dishes and other groceries.
Prior to the December 16 event, We Feed St. Augustine is looking for food and / or gift donations to meet the need they are trying to meet for this pre-vacation giveaway. In particular, they request at least 30 half sheets of food for the giveaway.
