Fortim: Real estate investments in Romania on the rise despite Corona-crisis

According to a study by Fortim TA, a member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate Alliance, the real estate investment market in Romania has been on an upward trend for the past three years, unaffected by the pandemic.

The total volume of investments in the Romanian real estate market in 2021 was EUR 919.5 million, 4% more than in the previous year.

In addition, the number was also higher than in 2019.

“The year 2021 was an excellent year for the real estate investment market in Romania with a total value of EUR 919.5 million, as total transactions reached EUR 884.6 million in 2020 and EUR 714.2 million in 2020, according to the study. By market segment, the office building segment was mainly targeted by investors, followed by the industrial segment and the retail segment (shopping centers). The fourth most active segment was the hotels.
